If you’re like most parents, then there are some nights when you’re at a loss for ways to keep the kids entertained. As it turns out, the Florence, KY area has a lot of exciting activities for the entire family to enjoy. Here are some of our favorite spots to take kids for a fun time.

1. Xhila Racing

Since 2014, Xhila Racing has been providing high quality indoor electric go kart racing for individuals and families alike. The Xtreme Karts at this track allow you and the kids to get plenty of thrills in an environment that always puts safety first. Our high traction tracks keep you in control around every turn. 2. Scenic Little Miami River Canoeing

It’s important for children to develop a connection to nature early on in life. Give them an appreciation for the natural world with a Scenic Little Miami canoe or kayak tour. If you’re not a seasoned canoer or kayaker yourself, then the knowledgeable and friendly staff will ensure that your experience is safe and enjoyable for you and your kids.

3. Stringtown Park

Looking for a way for the kids to burn off some energy in a safe, fun, and engaging environment? Take them to Stringtown Park, a great place for children from around age 3 to 8 to enjoy some recreation. Sitting on eight acres on the east side of town, this park has a basketball court, fitness stations, a playground with a climbing station and swing sets, a paved trail, picnic tables, grills, restrooms, and drinking fountains.

4. Great American Ball Park

There’s nothing kids will remember more in their lives than the first time they went to the ballpark for a baseball game. Take them to a Cincinnati Reds game at the Great American Ball Park during the season for hotdogs, peanuts, cotton candy, and an experience none of you will forget.

5. Danbarry Cinemas

There aren’t many better ways to give yourself a breather while keeping the kids entertained than going to the movies. Danbarry Cinemas in Florence has 10 different screens where they consistently screen a number of G-rated and PG-rated films. Prices for kids are $6.50 regardless of the time, while adult prices are $7.00 before 6:00 p.m. and $9.50 after 6:00 p.m. You can also take advantage of bargain Tuesdays, when everyone pays $6.00 all day long.
