Future Models
Bolder, safer, and with additional powertrain offerings, the 2016 Chevrolet Malibu is slated to reach showroom floors by the end of the year. It includes safety systems to help avoid collisions, as well as a feature to set parameters for teen drivers. And new for the upcoming model is a 1.8L four-cylinder gas engine paired with electric motors, which together put out 182 hp and get upward of 47 mpg on the highway. The redesign should make the Malibu all the more drivable while also giving it a bolder look, as it has been restructured with high-strength steel for aerodynamics as well as aesthetics.
