My sales guy Ryan Harkins was great. Very honest and upfront with me about everything. My issue is that I bought the car, had it less than 48 hours and the engine light came on. I could have just brought it back but I didn't because they bragged about their powertrain warranty. I thought for sure it would be taken care of. It took a week to get it into the shop and they wanted me to pay them $195 upfront to just tell me what OnStar had already told me, it needs a airflow sensor. This is not a good way to treat a new customer.

My daughter was sold a 2018 Toyota Camry from Tom Gill on Saturday 2/8/2025 at 11:30am and by Sunday she was already having trouble with the vehicle. She purchased a CarFax report which provided evidence that the information Tom Gill supplied was incomplete and missing maintenance history related to the issue. On Monday, 02/10/2025 she went to Tom Gill to return the vehicle and at 5:30pm they refused to take the car back. At that time they stated the issue is was not a problem however it was just a “characteristic of the vehicle” and that the 48 hour timeframe had passed. Tom Gill Advertises the following: “48 Hour Money Back Guarantee - If your purchase isn't right for you, simply return the vehicle in two days and within 200 miles.” “And remember, you can buy with peace of mind with our 2-day money back guarantee on your purchase.” In the United States, there is no law that requires businesses to offer money-back guarantees, but if companies advertise one, they must fully honor it and clearly disclose all conditions for receiving a refund. Tom Gill is closed for business on Sunday, they do not have an off-hours contact nor does the advertisement clearly indicate that Sundays and Holidays are included in the 48 hours. After requesting the specific terms and conditions for not receiving a refund their response is that it’s “self explanatory”. In the U.S. most companies exclude Sundays and Holidays from the 48 hour window except for those with 24/7 customer service. So stating this is “self explanatory” is unacceptable especially when it comes to legal or customer facing terms. Consumer protection laws require businesses to provide clear, understandable, and truthful information. I believe Tom Gill has failed miserably and I am hopeful the KY Attorney General feels the same. I also hope this information saves others from their deceptive and misleading practices or at least deters people from buying cars from Tom Gill on Fridays, Saturdays, or during a holiday weekends!

I was sold a 2018 Toyota Camry on Saturday 2/8/2025 at 11:30am, Tom Gill stated that the car had zero issues. On Sunday 2/9/2025 I heard the transmission whining when accelerating so I purchased a CarFax report and found records that this noise was diagnosed in Sept. 2024. This information was withheld on Tom Gills report. I called and spoke with the shop that was listed on the CarFax report and was told the previous owner was quoted $7,600.00 in transmission repairs. Tom Gill advertises a 48 hour money back guarantee so on Monday 02/10/2025 at 5:30 I went to return the car. They refused to take the car back because the 48 hour timeframe had passed. Tom Gill is closed for business on Sunday so I had no means to get a hold of them. The 48 hour window should be calculated based on their business hours and not to do so is a deceptive practice. Tom Gill not only failed to disclose important major mechanical issues they went back on their guarantee!

I had such a great experience purchasing my new vehicle
I had such a great experience purchasing my new vehicle from this dealer. Not only did I get my van under market price, but the sales representative was amazing. I traveled over 2 hours to get there, and it was absolutely worth it. I made their job easier by knowing what I was wanting, and they helped me through the process and set me up with financing that met my needs and budget. I've been to other dealerships before and so far, this has been my best experience. I was bombarded with super high energy and pushiness. My sales guy was laid back, informative, funny and encouraging. This dealership even got the financing company to lower my interest rate! I would definitely suggest taking the drive to purchase your next vehicle from here. As far as my trade in, I wasn't terribly happy with my trade in price, but my vehicle had quite a major issue, and the technology they used to show me the reason for the lower trade in value and explaining the situation to me in a way I could better understand. Everything still worked out in my favor and I would definitely return in the future. I was able to trade in my vehicle and leave with my new vehicle within 4 or 5 hours!

While my car was in service (oil change and new rims) I
While my car was in service (oil change and new rims) I was brought a rental which had a flat tire when it was pulled up front. The second rental brought to me had a flat within a couple hours of driving off the premises. I didn’t hit anything and called the service manager to express my concerns that this tire may have also been damaged prior to leaving the lot. I patched the tire and retuned it. They said I should have inspected the tires prior to leaving and my honesty would result in a 200 + bill. I would imagine this would have been difficult for any customer to inspect without the car being lifted. I also doubt they would have noticed if I hadn’t mentioned it since They had no inspection paperwork to share with me where their team inspected the car prior to handing off to me. All that was done was a quick walk around. It took the service manager several days to respond and when I expressed how his response would challenge future business with Tom Gill including the new car I was buying and upcoming paint job etc. (not to mention I just purchased a brand new blazer from them) I never received another response from anyone on their team after I sent this message. I then messaged the sales team letting them know I would no longer move forward with future purchase. The service manager still has not responded
